Leadership Training for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Lutherans

You can take 16 courses to help you learn more about your faith in Jesus Christ. Do you have to travel to a college or school to take these courses? No! You can take them all online. DEAF PAH! The Deaf Institute of Theology offers training for lay people. There is also a seminary program that will lead to ordination as a pastor or deaconess. To Apply for Deaf Pah! DIT

To apply for the DeafPah DIT Program, go to www.deafleaders.org and fill out the online application form. The DIT “Deaf in Training” program uses signed online video and online discussion. Applicants should have access to the internet and a recent internet browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox. High speed internet is best. If an applicant doesn’t have high speed internet, they should have a DVD player.

Deaf Pah! The Deaf Institute of Theology, Lay Leadership Program, is offered by the Deaf Lutheran Mission Society (DLMS), Concordia Seminary, St. Louis and The Lutheran Church -Missouri Synod Deaf Missions. Applicants should be mature in faith and life and have experience in working in the church.
Applicants must be communicant members in good standing of an LCMS congregation and committed to the Lutheran faith. Applicants must be willing to be active in their home congregation. Applicants must be paired with an ordained pastor of The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod who will serve as their mentor throughout the course of study. Applicants must fill out the online application form at www.deafleaders.org or print the brochure and fill out the application form on it. Mail it to the address on the brochure.
