Deaf Pah! - Deaf Institute of Theology - Leadership Training for Deaf People
You can take 16 courses to help you learn more about your faith in Jesus Christ. Do you have to travel to a college or school to take these courses? No! You can take them all online. DEAF PAH! The Deaf Institute of Theology offers training for lay people. There is also a seminary program that will lead to ordination as a pastor or deaconess. DEAF PAH! Our First DIT Pastor!
April 22, 2008 is Pastor Call Day at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. Vicar Alan Rork of Peace Lutheran Church for the Deaf will receive his Call to serve as Pastor at Peace Lutheran Church for the Deaf in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is the first deaf student to finish the DIT program. DIT stands for Deaf Institute of Theology, a distance-learning program of our Synod. Pastor Jerry Munz has been the mentor for Rev. Rork.
